I lead a team that creates and produces live programmes, on-demand video, and animated content to broadcast standards for the world’s largest trading platform. I am tasked with developing workflows, style guides and best practice techniques for all of IG’s audio-visual, production, and post-production work. I drive new technologies in how we present and produce video, provide input for the strategic direction of the team, and aim to raise the profile of the Video team whilst developing team members.

Initially hired as a Studio Editor to edit, composite, grade and animate graphics for in-house productions, the role quickly developed greater responsibility for daily running of the London studio delivering on-demand, live webcast and live broadcast productions based around Ross Video technologies. Responsibilities include pre-production, overseeing studio gallery operation & quality control, producing & directing on out-of-studio shoots, supervising post-production, managing freelancers & agencies, studio maintenance, and future studio & edit machine upgrades. Key in designing and planning a brand-new, world-leading corporate studio for the APAC region, which I went out to run for the start of 2016. I have also designed and implemented a multi-camera mobile studio for events that delivers better quality than previously hired in external suppliers and an ROI within one year with a greater level of control and consistency.
Studio Operator/Editor | Jul 2013 – Sep 2014 | London
End to end video production for internal and external communications. On-demand productions and live webcasting based around a TriCaster 8000 system using both studio sets and green screen, including virtual sets. Responsibilities include pre-production, shooting, vision mixing, editing, compositing, motion graphics, video compression, deployment to broadcast servers & UGC video sites, and maintenance of studio & edit equipment.

This covers everything from sales videos to product demonstrations, website intros to music videos, teaching/training products to showreels, interviews to event openers and testimonials to artistic pieces. This role has also developed all- round business knowledge, including basic accounting, sales & marketing, customer service, project management, web design & implementation and SEO.

Created videos and digital designs for this mid-sized charity. C3 has a reputation for delivering world-class conferences within Cambridge, all of which incorporate the use of bespoke high-end video, audio, theatre lighting and 21st century web technologies. The role had a large emphasis on digital video production/editing from pre- to post-production and required extensive experience using Final Cut Studio, video cameras & studio lighting. The role also encompassed operating as the lead engineer within a team of 20 volunteers, covering audio, lighting, camera and AV disciplines. This developed my technical and creative abilities and also my project and people management skills along with internally focused “customer” relation management when delivering project for various departments.
